Hello, I’m Sergei
Hello — I’m Sergei Vinogorov, a Senior Frontend Developer focused on React, TypeScript, frontend architecture, and product engineering.
I have spent more than seven years building web applications across FinTech, SaaS, and other product domains. Today I work on investment products, lead a small frontend team, and help improve both the architecture of the application and the way features move from an idea to production.
What I care about
I enjoy the parts of frontend engineering that sit between product requirements and technical systems:
- designing modular applications that remain understandable as they grow;
- improving performance based on measurements rather than assumptions;
- building GraphQL and real-time data flows;
- creating testing strategies that protect important user journeys;
- understanding browsers, rendering, and the platform beneath React;
- helping teams make smaller, safer, and easier-to-review changes.
What I am building
Outside my main work, I build small products that solve problems I experience myself. One of them is Applied Vacancies Tracker, a local-first Chrome extension for managing job applications without maintaining another spreadsheet.
The first release was deliberately small. I am now evolving it into a more production-oriented product with stronger architecture, privacy controls, vacancy-page assistance, and eventually CV matching.
What I will write about
This site will be a place for practical notes and case studies rather than polished theory alone. I plan to write about frontend architecture, browser internals, React and TypeScript, performance investigations, testing decisions, Chrome-extension development, and lessons from building products in public.
Thanks for reading. The best places to reach me are LinkedIn and GitHub.
